Forge of Champions Spring 2019 Interview
by Kalvin Chung / May 07, 2019
The Forge of Champions was the cornerstone of UK League of Legends in 2018 and it is back! However in 2019, it has evolved into open teams mixed with UKLC teams, what could go wrong? In April 2019 there were qualifiers with 4 Open teams coming out on top. You can find more information about Forge of Champions on their WEBSITE and TWITTER.

We spoke to Chibs, who also was awarded Rookie of the UKLC Spring 2019 Split, about his thoughts on UKLC and Forge of Champions.
How was it winning Rookie of the Split for the 2019 Spring UKLC Season?
There weren’t that many Rookies to begin with but I am happy that LVP recognises the effort I put into my first Split.
How do you feel after the first Split?
I feel good about how I performed with my first split. I played against a lot of experienced Midlaners such as MagiFelix and I felt a lot of pressure to perform at first. I am always looking to improve and I feel that I did that in the UKLC 2019 Spring Split. For now, I will just have to see what happens in the future.
How do you feel about the teams in Forge of Champions?
Excel is on our side of the bracket and that is going to be a difficult team to take down. I feel confident going against any team, we’ve still grown as a team over the past month since UKLC ended and I think we can take the win if we play our cards right. The break in April has made me look forward to playing against each team again, which is something to look forward to.
What are your goals for Forge of Champions?
I want to continue improving individually and as a team. It will be the final end of the Spring Season so I want to end it with a bang, win or lose.
