UKLC LEAGUE OF LEGENDS WEEK 4 INTERVIEW

Week 4 was full of ups and downs. We were able to finally take down the Titans, FNATIC RISING, but we fell short in holding the top of the tower that we worked so hard to secure. We had a chat with the jungle player, Noltey, about his feelings on the strange mix of success and defeat this week.

How did you feel about Week 3, having got to the Tower Challenge and falling short to FNATIC RISING

It felt bad losing in the fashion that we did but despite losing against FNATICRISING in Week 3 I was happy we made it that far in the bracket. We had a rough early start to the UKLC Spring Season but it felt like that was the confidence boost we needed to continue improving as a team.

How did the team prepare for the Re-Match against FNATICRISING for the Tower?

After losing we ran through the problems we had in our game against FNATIC. We believed our draft and early game co-ordination were big contributors to our loss. However, with more practice we felt like we could draft a comp that we could confidently play with. We know a lot of people think FNC have the best individual players so we all came down to preparation and team play.

Were you worried about holding the tower after the win in your rematch?

I wasn’t worried given the performance we had on Day 1 of Week 4. Also knowing that the 2 of the strongest teams weren’t able to challenge us for the tower but I didn’t count out the remaining teams. I was not worried but I still remained cautious.

What went wrong against the Tower Challenge VS Diabolus?

I can’t single out a particular reason that we lost. We did choose picks that we had not really had much practice on as a team which contributed to our fall. Once we fell behind in the early game it was difficult for us to come back against DBL’s composition and eventually we fell.
